While furniture purchased at some stores can take up to 16 weeks to be delivered, nearly everything bought at Blackbridge is available for immediate collection or delivery. Blackbridge Furnishings owner James Fraser realises that people like to take their purchases home immediately and do not want to wait a long time, so we have a large range in stock to make sure customers can do this. Blackbridge Furnishings has a spacious new showroom at 42b Thornbush Road where a beautiful range of contemporary furniture is on display. James (34), whose father founded the company, took it over eight years ago and has since been expanding the business rapidly. Having worked in the family firm since he left Fortrose Academy, James has a sound knowledge of the business as well as a trusted relationship with the customers. He says: I tend to sell the kind of the things I like myself, and this seems to be very successful. Our furniture is very modern and people like the look of what we have in store and on the internet site. The store carries a broad spectrum of items, from dining and living room suites to bedroom furniture.Some of the most popular ranges include the rustic oak furniture, farmhouse furniture, and contemporary ash furniture lines. Prices are extremely reasonable and the furniture is all made from high quality materials.
James also says: We import a lot of our goods directly from abroad so we are able to keep our prices down, which customers really appreciate. The sales staff are all friendly and professional and are on hand to help give advice. James says: It's our business to make shopping for beautiful furniture at affordable prices as easy as possible, whether customers come into the store or visit our website. Blackbridge Furnishings was established by James Fraser Snr in 1984. The business was located next to a striking Black Bridge, which inspired its name. Initially, Blackbridge Furnishings specialised in second-hand furniture but with growing success the business developed and began to offer new design-led and quality-built furniture to customers throughout the Scottish Highlands & Islands and the UK. Word spread and the growing demand for quality goods and services encouraged Blackbridge Furnishings to expand in 1991.

Purchased a king sized bed and two chest of drawers, for it to be the price we paid we expected it to be high quality. the first lot received was badly damaged, so it was agreed it would be replaced, when they came to pick it up I had all the stuff at the side to be taken back that was their stuff they managed to mark our walls and damage part of the skirting after it recently being redecorated just a couple of weeks before blackbridge entered our house and the bed was still poor quality but we accepted it because we were desperate to have our bed as we were sleeping on a mattress for so long.
We purchased this from Inverness and was dealing with craig from Elgin but somehow Craig can't seem to notice after sending photos of the walls and the skirting, no accountability has been taken. Wouldn't call their delivery team professionally either and I wouldn't waste my time with them. Save your hard earned money and shop elsewhere please We would give them no stars but this isn't possible.

Bought dining table and chairs a while back during their last so called "stock clearance" do not be duped by these people. They have got another so called "stock clearance" back on from this weekend but this is false advertising we ended up waiting nearly 2 months for our set and had to settle for slightly different set from what we ordered. I thought a stock clearance meant the stock is ready to be cleared not having to wait 2 months only to get something different than what was paid for and to add insult to injury found the same set nearly 100 cheaper elsewhere that wasn't even on sale BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK

Edit to original review. Having had an issue with damage to furniture and a mirror we wanted to return I posted a negative review. I have been communicating with a manager and we now have all our issues resolved. Craig was incredibly helpful and was able to resolve our issues very quickly. We are very grateful for your help with what was a manufacturing issue. Furniture looks good in situ. Thank you.

Despite previously having had good service and quality products from this company, based on my current experience, I absolutely would not encourage anyone to part with any money to Blackbridge Furnishings at the moment. I am thousands of pounds out of pocket for a suite bought months ago and I still have no delivery date in sight and a complete refusal from them to acknowledge, far less, respond to my emails.
I have also left a voicemail messages which have been completely ignored. Today, I went into the store in Fort William asking for them to call their bosses to see if that would help and they didn't even answer calls from their own staff. BUYERS BEWARE!

One star is one too many for this company! Absolutely terrible customer service. Ordered a suite back in April, the 2 and 3 seater came on time and we were told at time of purchase the single seater would be 8 weeks. I phoned at the end of the 8 week period as I had heard nothing from Blackbridge, to be told it would be the end of July that it would be in.
Again I had to phone them at the end of July as no-one had got in touch (yet again) to be told it should be in by 9th August (more lies). Guess what?! The 9th August has been and gone and yet no-one has been in touch. They will not answer my calls or reply to my emails! Terrible service!

I would have given less stars if i could! bought a table sold to me as solid oak on december 24th 2018. 9 months later it started to bubble up like cheap veneer. spoke to blackbridge who confirmed the centre of this table is veneer and that all their staff know this and told me it was the way i cared for the table? they went on to tell me that this was down to cleaning or spills. its a dining table? obviously this family table was only meant to be looked at from a distance not actually used as a table. ive owned cheap veneer tables that lasted years and never did this. so if you want overpriced, poor quality and miss sold this is the shop for you!
