We recently purchased an Avant home & the kitchen was supplied & fitted by JT Ellis Kitchens, we had our demonstration on the 18/11/2021 & moved in on 01/12/221 we noticed on the same day as the demonstration a chipped door on the kitchen sink & reported it straight away ( amongst other items ) & it's now 05/07/2022 & we are still waiting for this door to be replaced, even after sending numerous emails to the Avant service team & for them to forward these issues to JT Ellis nothing progresses.
After working on building sites myself over 30+ years this is the poorest fitted kitchen I have ever seen. JT Ellis are the worst kitchen fitters ever & there after sales service is non existent. Don't use this company

Ridiculous customer service. Been staying in an Avant home since April last year and no one has come to fix the snag issues. They don't even reply to emails. Stay well away from Ellis kitchens. I can see quite a few other people here who also purchased Avant Homes and are experiencing similar problems. (28/02/22) Improved my review with supporting images and video.

I purchased bedroom and lounge furniture for my parents who, at short notice, were entering assisted living accommodation. I need to thank the national account manager, Jason Bloom, who personally ensured that samples of finish were quickly provided and that my subsequent order was delivered in time for Mum and Dad's move. The furniture, whilst not cheap, is great value for money.
It was delivered in packaging that prevented any damage in transit and, once unpacked, it looks great and is of excellent quality. Most important of all, Mum and Dad are delighted. I do not hesitate to recommend J.T. Ellis.

Recently had at JT Ellis kitchen fitted in our brand new 'luxury' home and have had no end of problems with it. Poor workmanship in every aspect - cupboards not fitted properly, parts left lying around in cardboard boxes when we moved in, incorrect cupboard dimensions, sawdust coming out of the extractor fan when we turn it on, missing LED lights which we ordered, plus we had to settle for a different worktop as they told us just a couple of weeks before we were due to move in that they couldn't get any stock of our worktop (which we ordered last summer!). Really disappointed and wouldn't recommend.

Hi, I would like to say a very good retirement to our good buddy "Yorkie" (phil) he gave a brilliant service as your driver and was always very polite and helpful none of us knew Phil had retired until i met one of your other drivers on stracathro services " also I was told Andy wasn't feeling too well either and we wish him all the best and will see him on the road again in the near future so we can have a catch up exchanging stories and helping each other when we are struggling. So from one trucker to another" see you on the flip flop Yorkie" /Andy. From your mates from Utopia enjoy your retirement Phil ___ 10 -10.

Absolutely appalling company to deal with. I purchased an Avant home and it came with a kitchen from Ellis. It's taken 12 months to sort out snagging. Still I gave them the benefit of doubt and paid over 3k for an island to be designed and installed - I wanted it to match the original kitchen. This has been left unfinished and with defects. To top it off the worktop for the island was edged on site and they couldn't get it right, they promised to manufacture another worktop that has been delivered today and it's the wrong size! Wonder if this is going to take another 12 months?

Bought an Avant home which is great, lovely property and the downside is the specification Ellis Kitchens put in to these properties. Let's start with the Splash back, I have a 750 Hob and you'd expect the same Splash back? no they put a 600 there. The Unit above the hob overlapped which meant it was against gas regulations and not safe. Lee Barker Ellis Kitchens RM, avant site manager and I came to the resolve of remove the unit to make it gas safe, remove the Splash back and upstand and me to arrange for it to be tiled at my own cost. Ellis Kitchens come in to sort this for me yet left a huge scratch on the worktop. Lee Barker arrived again to inspect the damage and said it would be head office to make the decision. Lee Barker final response was that of a con man really. Ellis Kitchens will not replace the worktop FOC as there is no evidence of a Ellis employee or subcontractor has done this and if this was done it was on their own accord. Wow avoid this company!
Then their reply. Ducking and diving, Avant homes had the job sheet for all matters to be completed, unit off, Splash back removed and upstand. Record absolutely everything these people do, people on our site have already started just in case! They like to hide things and if they get caught they hide behind a goodwill plea. Ellis spec wasn't gas safe so as a "goodwill gesture" they made it right.
Instead of them having to buy a 750 Splash back I just asked them to remove it. Tiles covering it.it's pretudes 6-8mm from the tile. Most people that understand tiling would say that the silicone needed would be ridiculous

My father in law (80) needed two extra shelves for his Ellis kitchen cabinets. Unfortunately the design had been discontinued. But to the rescue came Ellis's Mike Hickman who had the shelves custom made to our sizes and edged. Arrived by Ellis truck highly protected wrapped. Fitted perfectly. Great service. All for 12.
