From start to finish it has been a great experience working with Neville Johnson. Design to installation has been seamless. All members of the team have been knowledgeable, professional and helpful. The fitters Ross and Mckenzie were outstanding, they were very personable, diligent and hard working and the company should be proud of them. You get what you pay for. Quality product and quality workmanship from our fitter. Seamless process from beginning to end. Good communication as it's taken a few months from initial estimate to the fitting. Apart from one piece of wallpaper to be replaced and the stair carpet to be relaid, a really neat and tidy finish. It took 2 full days to complete.

Attention to detail and care of our property was taken seriously. I now have a maintenance free oak stairs and landing. No more spindles to paint. Thoroughly recommend Neville Johnson.

From the initial contact until fitting, all staff professional and helpful. We were regularly updated and all our queries were fully answered. Being able to see examples of the available materials in our own home was very helpful. The staircase has been fabricated to high standards and the fitter was friendly and completed the work with high standards within the time set.

We hired Neville Johnson to design and fit a bespoke unit in our lounge. The service from beginning to end was thoroughly professional and friendly. We thought what we wanted would be a challenge for the designer but what he came up with simply exceeded our expectations. We are delighted with the result and would highly recommend Neville Johnson.

From the initial request for brochure to installation of my staircase, I could not have been more pleased. The end result really is a thing of beauty and has totally transformed my room. I would have no hesitation in recommending Neville Johnson to transform your staircase.

Dreadful experience, poor quality product, terrible service and overpriced Not once did Neville Johnson accept that their products were of atrocious quality and their service equally bad, or even hint at an apology. Hence a very negative review. I would give zero stars to Neville Johnson if the system allowed this. In summary, we obtained a refund for most of the money paid - two years after signing the order, this was after: - three attempts by NJ at supplying and installing an acceptable product to the agreed design - three sets of very poor quality wardrobes, the first was way off the agreed design - three "FAILED FURNITURE INSTALLATION MANAGER'S REPORT" (yes - that really is the title of the reports issued to us by NJ!) - several visits to our home from various NJ management - threats from NJ's credit control staff and solicitors for legal action for the balance of 20% which they said was due on "installation completion" (i.e. it doesn't matter how bad the installation is, if NJ say it is complete then they demand all their money) - Statements from NJ senior management such as "NJ can only supply our usual products from our usual materials.

We use the term "to a showroom standard"."; this was a bizarre claim since they do not have showrooms for bedroom furniture! - Formal request to cancel the contract under the Consumer Rights (2015) Act was completely ignored by NJ - Legal action by me through solicitors which took over a year of exchanges between solicitors. The NJ tactic was procrastination and intransigence. - Eventually when court papers were served on NJ they started making more than token offers of compensation but carried on claiming the furniture supplied was ".fully compliant with the contract." - They upped their offer for a settlement; I would have liked to have seen them in court but in view of the emotional strain that would have caused, we finally accepted a settlement offer from NJ without going to court. MY ADVICE IS THINK VERY CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING A CONTRACT WITH NEVILLE JOHNSON LTD - MY WIFE AND I WISH WE HAD NEVER HEARD OF THIS COMPANY! MORE ADVICE: If your are put off taking legal action against Neville Johnson by the potential cost of solicitors then check your household insurance policy to see if you are covered for legal expenses.

Our policy included this and much to our pleasant surprise the insurance company covered all the legal costs for action against NJ - which did not cost us a penny, not even an excess to pay by us!

Staircase installed in one day by very professional fitters. Completely clean afterwards. Quality staircase. Considered getting a joiner in to save money but so glad I didn't as it would not have been anywhere near as good.

We are very happy with the service we received from Neville Johnson. Following our initial enquiry and discussions with the designer we decided to go ahead with an oak and glass staircase - very much their stock in trade I imagine. The surveyor arrived at the appointed time, as did the fitter. We were kept informed of the progress of our order throughout and everyone we spoke to at head office was polite and efficient.

The installation process was excellent - one fitter who worked exceptionally hard and kept the entire area clean and tidy. The staircase was transformed (I do not use that word lightly) in just a day and a half! We now have an attractive staircase and a hall and landing that are much more lighter and 'open'. We would not hesitate to recommend Neville Johnson to anyone who is thinking of improving their own property - our only regret is not taking a 'before' photograph to show the transformation to others! Exemplary craftmanship and professionalism. We chose the Avon range in light oak. Stairpost moved back and bullnose step inserted. Quality goods, attention to detail from designer visit, surveyor, back office through to fitting and after-sales care. We would highly recommend Neville Johnson.
