Absolutely appalling service leaving my parents with no suite or chair for their family gathering after delivering a faulty damaged suite. To have them collect the day before Christmas Eve is unthinkable and not the level of service you would expect from an independent retailer. The suite could have been collected next week since it was damaged already but no they chose to leave my parents sat on the floor and having to cancel the family gathering. Who does that? Not a professional retailer for sure.

Good quality furniture, plenty of choice. The only down side is access to the bedroom store.

A family owned furnishing store with loads of choice in their show room. The staff were helpful, listened to my needs and then left me to choose in my own time. There was no hard sell so I went away to think about the styles I'd seen. When I went back they helped me choose the right fabric and also suggested a delivery trial before I committed to a purchase as I have awkward stairs to negotiate. Highly recommend a visit for your next furniture purchase.

We ordered goods to the value of 2000 2 divans, 2 bedside and 1 console table. 1 divan damaged upon delivery, 1 divan broke within 3 weeks of having been delivered, wrong bedside tables delivered and console table delivered damaged. Try to shop local where we can however the quality is simply not worth it, still waiting for the issues to be addressed and sorted.

Would have got better quality from Argos or Ikea. Obviously changed their suppliers over the years to the detriment of their business and customer satisfaction. Will not shop or recommend Barkers Furniture again.

Great sales service but very poor after sales. Our settee covers frayed but they said it was wear and tear and we should have taken out a 12 months warranty. We are only a couple with no children and take care of our suite. We had to pay a 60 out charge for them to send someone to have a look at the cushions, with no refund on this charge. The supplier agreed (Bouyant) if was a factory error and it was agreed they would send a replacement which they did.

However Bouyant contacted us two weeks after the cushions had arrived to arrange for them to for them to be fitted but my husband had already struggled to fit them himself as Barkers did not tell us this and they just arrived by post. The settee arm also was dented but they were so awkward we have just left this. The lady on the phone was quite abrupt at Barkers which was not good for customer service.

We try to use local companies to keep them going but to be honest this was a bad mistake. our last suite from SCS was much better and lasted longer. I definitely won't be going back to Barkers.

Sadly visited both the showrooms. Very quiet, just left to our own devices. Was not approached or asked if we needed any assistance, or what we were looking for? Staff just sat behind desk, didn't even look up, make eye contact or say hello or acknowledge us in any way? So after a while we just left a.d went to another showroom across town. Very disappointed. Tried to buy a.d support local. Disappointed.

Delighted with all aspects of our dealings with Barkers. High quality furniture at great value for money prices. All the staff, in store and delivery/fitting were excellent.
