25 years ago we opened our first shop, at Bourton-on-the-Water in the heart of the Cotswolds. As we grew, we needed somewhere bigger to call home, so now you'll find us just down the road, in Stow-on-the-Wold. Shocking! Paid525 and received a damaged tv unit, initially offered a repair company but declined as took 3 weeks. Accepted exchange with item going though "quality control "! And arrived damaged in exactly same corner. Delivery company were careful and helpful and offered me a doorstep discount which I accepted as can't bare to go through same happening.
However still waiting as discount has to be given by Cotswold and they take forever to answer emails. really not sure if I will get discount and left with tv unit with a smashed corner. Will avoid ever shopping here again!

I'm now on the 5th reschedule for a chest of drawers I ordered. The latest reason is that due to a warehouse error it wasn't put onto the delivery vehicle. 5 days of waiting in and I have zero confidence I'm ever going to receive my item and I'm having to do all of the chasing, no one is coming to me with apologies or resolutions. Completely shocking

It's a real gamble with this company. The furniture is nice, you have to give them that. However, it's a complete lottery with the quality of craftsmanship and delivery. We've had two pieces of furniture returned through damage.quite inconvenient because it's a long wait for a replacement. If you're looking to receive 100% quality first time, then I'd look elsewhere. But, if you're willing to take risks, then might be worth a shot.

DO NOT SHOP HERE! Terrible communication: I purchased a piece of furniture and was notified that stock would be available 2/3 weeks. 5 weeks went past with no correspondence until I then emailed enquiring. I Was then told 2 different delivery dates. I had Allocated time off work to receive the furniture, only to be told that the courier had lost it in transit.
The courier called myself to let me know there was nothing to collect. When I questioned this matter, this item had now 'conveniently' become discontinued. Absolute liars! And blamed the courier! I really wish I had checked in on the reviews before purchasing. Seems a lot of customers had a similar treatment.

Delay after delay with no communication and moving goal posts constantly. No proper complaints procedure to speak of and even when you call, give you wrong and conflicting information. One excuse given was that I live too remotely - 30 mins drive from Norwich! Website is also misleading - don't believe availability/delivery/stock dates! I wouldn't touch this firm with a barge pole if I was you.

Horrendous experience with this company. Delivery is a complete lottery, everything is made as difficult as possible. Having taken the money for the furniture, 10 weeks later I am still waiting for delivery. The automated 'updates' it turns out are meaningless. IF I ever see the furniture I have bought, I will be able to comment on its quality.

Absolutely horrendous company to deal with. I placed my order in February and I'm still waiting for my 3rd replacement, furniture is not very good quality, I have had some damage on every piece of the 3 items I ordered, I have had them replaced and was no better, I'm still waiting for someone to get in touch with me to sort it out, customer service just say customer care are busy they, ll ring you back but never do, iv sent emails, they just say we, re trying to sort out logistics, if it wasn't for the fact the TV unit is the only one of its size I can find, everything would have been returned for a refund. I have pictures of the damage furniture and they have had them too, I, ll try to post on here. The furniture looks to me like it's seconds, poor quality.

This is a long review by a long standing customer of this company. The treatment received upon receiving damaged goods has been nothing short of appalling. 3 items were ordered as part of a refurbishment project at home. Goods were 'delivered ' an hour earlier than advised. Surly delivery guy literally threw boxes into the hall (not what I am used to), giving me no opportunity to check boxes for damage etc.
Upon opening one nest of tables a leg fell off, inspection of box showed where it had clearly been bashed. I immediately telephoned the customer support, got through eventually and advised of the situation - so they were aware of the issue within 1 hour of delivery. I was then informed that the department who arrange returns and replacements would be advised, was given a job number and assured that somebody would contact me by the following day at the latest.
Two days later I had had no contact from Cotswold so telephoned again. I had to go through the entire saga again and send photographs which I did, only later in the day to receive an email from another person advising that she had not had any photographs (even though I had received an acknowledgement receipt earlier that day for the photographs). Once again photographs were sent off and I waited.
Again no contact from anybody, no response to my emails asking for a status progress until Saturday of this week when I telephoned yet again only to be advised that an email had been sent out to me on the 20th (which I had not received) and upon asking could it be sent again was advised that the adviser did not have access to certain areas. Eventually however she did manage to locate said email and she cut and pasted the contents to me.
I was astounded to discover that I was being offered either a 40% refund, or one of their "third-party specialists" who would visit and see if they could repair the nest of tables, or a replacement with a "quality checked product" (aren't all their products quality checked?). I then received yet another email from the woman who allegedly sent this offer email out some two days before. Amusingly it was coupled with a question asking me how satisfied I was with their service!
Following that again total silence from Cotswold company. So far I have spoken to 3 different people, each time I have to go over the same things, I have absolutely no idea where customer support is actually based (they certainly don't seem to know one another) and when I asked this question was told we work in different places. And so I have a nest of tables with a completely shattered leg, the whole structure now compromised and sitting in the original box awaiting collection.
If I don't hear anything within the next couple of days I will be applying to my card company for refund as obviously the items are not fit for purpose. If you have a complaint to make to this company I wouldn't bother sending an email as they never ever respond. It is such a shame to see a company who has previously been excellent on delivery service and quality now operating in this shoddy manner.

Today waiting for a few weeks for our items, our experience of the delivery was absolutely shocking. Thousands of pounds of items effectively dumped with no care of consideration at all for the items. Purchasing furniture should be an enjoyable experience: do not part with monies until this company addresses its woeful customer services division. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Awful experience. Be very careful of this company. I was lied to about the price that they were going to charge for an item of furniture and the service that they would provide and if anything goes wrong they will then ignore you. If you want an easy life, stay well clear of this company. In brief, the manager of their outlet store agreed a price with me for an item of furniture and then refused to honour it a week later, when he told me to come back and pay for the item.
He wanted to charge 200 more. They will lure you in with lies and then go back on any agreement when they feel like it. I ended up buying the item as I felt I had little choice, but when the item of furniture turned up it was damaged and there was a part missing. I called their customer services but they refused to deal with me as I bought from their outlet store and said I'd have to call the outlet store directly.
After 10 unanswered phone calls to the outlet store I feel totally abandoned by this company, who seem not to care about their customers or their products. Awful company, awful experience and awful customer service.

Really good products, shame about the service! Where do I start? I ordered three items, at a total cost of some 1500. Although I didn't need to, I decided to take them up on their interest free credit scheme. I passed the credit check in the store, and they then had to transfer 50p from my current account to ascertain who I was. Their credit company rejected it. and again, and again, and again, and again.
I rang my bank from the store, and they spoke to both myself and the salesman. They confirmed that they had attempted on 5 occasions to get the money across. The credit company had been unable to accept it. Stalemate, so I just paid cash. OK, next problem. On my invoice the delivery was scheduled, and the items were to be located in "room of customer's choice".
I had said to the salesman that this would be a bedroom, and he noted this, and arranged for a two man team to undertake the delivery. They did arrive as scheduled, but had extremely limited English. They did, however, have builders' bums on obvious display. Ugh! They then refused to take the unit upstairs, saying that it was too tall. They did not understand the words "then tilt it on its side".
They simply refused to try, saying that they would have to take it back. I asked them if the company would really be happy to lose 900 of sales for want of them attempting to position the unit. I don't believe they understood. Also delivered was a three drawer filing cabinet. They unpacked this from the huge amount of cardboard and polystyrene packaging.
They then couldn't get into the drawers to screw the handles on the cabinet. They said that they would have to take it back. By this time I had lost my cool and left it to my partner to handle. Basically, when he investigated with them he discovered that the cabinet had been locked for transit. The delivery guys had no idea about this. Eventually they were able to sort it, but realistically they should have training for each piece of furniture if this is the service they are supposed to deliver. Needless to say, I am still awaiting a refund of my 900 and awaiting any contact from the company. I love my desk and filing cabinet. as I said, products fine, service appalling.

I am writing this negative review not because the products are flawed, although I couldn't say since I never received the file cabinet ordered. They are very disorganized, I couldn't get anyone to help me find out what happened to my order. The delivery man claimed he came to the door, although I sat home 4 hours waiting. I never received any response from the company, despite \ countless email, numerous phone calls being answered by answered service, leaving messages.
I even chatting on line and the redelivery was confirmed, but it never came. You days later, I finally get through and they informed me they would charge me extra for delivery. Needless to say, i cancelled both my orders. Terrible customer service. Its a shame I rather buy from a small company and support them, but they are not if they are not willing to wave a fee for their mistakes.
