Very poor service, we ordered an expensive sofa that within 6 months was touching the floor in the middle. The sofa should have feet in the middle to support it, they have offer to add some feet but there's no holes for them so this suggests it's a manufacturing fault. No offer of extended warrantee, everytime I ring up no one rings back. Just painful to deal with. Wouldn't recommend.

We went in to buy furniture for our new 5 bed house, we saw a mirrored sideboard that was reduced and looked nice but was in a dim corner and was sold as seen so we asked if we could lift it out into the light to inspect it. We were told no it was not possible and the chap was quite rude and made me feel really unimportant. I had another 9k budget to spend on furniture but will not be giving my money to hopewells if they can't be bothered to move the furniture. Another store nearby were attentive and made me feel important so I will give my money to them instead.

Wasted a whole weekend looking for a sofa, the usual suspects DFS, furniture village, SCS etc. Discovered Hopewells and what a great store, very large, great selection and decent prices. Recommend the nice cafe with the roof terrace while you mull over what sofa to buy. We were served by Luciano, a true gent, not pushy and very knowledgeable. Anyway placed an order for 2 sofas! Totally recommended.

I purchased a Stressless Recliner and footstool, ordering both in the taller seat height of 47 cm. I always found them uncomfortable and when measuring found I had been supplied with the standard chair 43 cm but the taller stool. I wrote asking what they would do about this. They have gone so far as to get someone from FIRA to come and take false measurements of the chair insisting it is the correct height and come up with every argumentative excuse why they are not prepared to do anything about it.
In one email they even suggested they would price a further chair sympathetically! I have produced the clearest of photographs demonstrating the chair is a standard height one, but still they persist in defending my county court proceedings against them which they will obviously lose. I am quite badly disabled and quite tall so the impact of this odd chair and stool has a particularly bad effect upon me.
I thought I was investing is something that is quality but the seat itself is hard and flat and this increased as time went by. This was a very expensive chair and I relied upon all of the assurances Hopewells repeat on their webpage of the sales blurb, the most comfortable etc. If you do not wish to go through all of this, please avoid Stressless products and this shop

I may be wrong, but I think this is the only independent furniture retailer left in Nottingham after the sad demise of Nash Interiors. I have bought bed/sofa/chairs over the years from here, and like to have a wander and window shop occasionally. It has some wonderful, quirky items and soon has me redecorating (mentally that is!). It has a huge range of carpets/rugs and flooring and an even bigger selection of fabrics.
The slaes staff all know what they are talking about too! A rarity in these days of sell it and sell it cheap! It has a coffee shop, but last time I was there it didn't even do a cappacino! So no points there, but then that isn't why you go. I thoroughly reccommend a visit. We will all be the poorer if Hopewells goes too, and it is not that much more expensive, particularly at sale time.
